Who we are
BLiP (“we”, “us”) is the team behind the BLiP Jam app. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use BLiP or sign up for our mailing list.
What we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address and sign-in details through Firebase Authentication. If you opt in, we also store your email address for BLiP news and updates.
When you use the app, we may collect device and usage information—such as your app version, device type, analytics data and crash reports—to help us maintain and improve BLiP.
Playlists and music files you add remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
How we use your information
We use this information to:
• Operate and manage your account
• Send email-verification and password-reset messages
• Maintain and improve the app
• Send occasional BLiP news and updates, but only if you opt in
We do not sell your personal information.
Mailing list
Joining our mailing list is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time through Settings or by using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
Unsubscribing from the mailing list does not delete your BLiP account.
Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to operate BLiP, including Google Firebase for authentication, database services, analytics and crash reporting. These providers process information to deliver these services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep information
We retain account data while your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal information that we no longer need, except where retention is required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
Mailing-list information is retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal information or request that we correct it. You can delete your account from within the BLiP Jam app and opt out of the mailing list at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection laws.
